Irish Heritage
I'm part Irish (mostly Scottish), but the green eyes and freckles prove my celtic heritage.
We had a great St. Patricks day.
We started with some Lucky Charms.
We both worked (and schooled) most of the day, but we managed to squeeze in a few festivities.
Green hot dog buns at J Dawgs was kind of a shocker, but ultimately delicious.
We enjoyed them on our porch in the nice weather. With a side of Sobe and Pringles from Kurt O (Paul's bday present).
After my Olive Garden shift, Kurt and Julie came over and we enjoyed some delicious cupcakes that they made for us. We like them a lot (Julie and Kurt, the cupcakes were great too though).
A little shout out to my mom, who is an awesome Irish Dancer.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Traditional Opening of the Presents after breakfast in bed (A Bike Helmet and ISIS sleeve from me)
And a sweet embosser from Momma Donna.
(But my family opens presents after dinner... so there may be more to come!)
This is the 3rd birthday we have spent together - which seems like a lot, but hopefully there are 100 more to come. And Paul is going to kill me for this... but guess what happened two years ago today?
Some of this....(Birthday FHE)
Then some of this...
(He always says he wish he would have picked a different day to propose because now his birthday is "overshadowed" by our engagement anniversary. But unfortunately he couldn't hold his horses and "needed to be able to concentrate on his tests that week" so...too bad! It was your choice :)!)
And there are some very other special birthdays today! My oldest sister Chelsey.
One of the most brilliant, talented and wonderful person I've ever met.

And, our nephews, Ian and Isaac- turning FOUR today!

big moves
Isn't my biologist husband a babe?
I'm really excited for Paul and the opportunities that are presenting themselves for his education and career. This weekend he is visiting another graduate school, and after that we are deciding where we will be going for the next several years.
I'm nervous to move and be away from family, but really excited for this adventure. Lots of prayer going into this BIG decision.
The good news is, next time Paul goes out to a graduate school, I will be with him (vs being home alone) because we will be moving there!
He's only been gone for a few hours and I'm going crazy. How in the heck did I survive Mongolia?
