There's no place like home. Especially when it's Utah.

The day after my dad's birthday, we headed up to Hunstiville for a Carruth Family Reunion.
I'm so glad I got to go!

We stopped in Ogden for some groceries and I was thrilled to find a box of these for our drive up the canyon.

Ogden Canyon is the prettiest.

It was so fun to see so many cousins, aunts, uncles, and watch how their families are growing.

Audrey loved the sunscreen.

Ezra not so much.

The drive home was great - a full Tahoe, and me, my dad and Cooper in the backseat getting to look at these two cuties.

Cooper hung out with us for a little while before he went to the Real game with his dad - so we had some fun Nerf gun wars. My parents new house has some great spots for these sort of things.

That evening Paul and I went to his uncle and aunt's house for a little Frandsen family get together - it was great to see his grandsparents, aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Sink bath times for Audrey!

Sunday was Ezra's blessing day. It was so great to get to be there for that. Ezra slept through a lot of the fun but I couldn't stop taking pictures of his sleepy face and elbow patches.

That evening we played Telestrations on the back porch. I felt great about Audrey and me having tiny matching polka dots.

The sunset views from my parents new house are top notch.

After the sunset, my dad, Eric and I went on a hike in Dimple Dale (basically my parents backyard) lucky!

Then had some fun as a family. :)

Monday morning we were lucky enough to go up to Willard Bay with Brad Christensen's family. It was Audrey's first time on a boat, and she got to cheer on her dad (which she'll be doing more of - Eric's now a member of the UCSD waterski team!). Brad's kids were hilarious and his family is so nice.

That evening we went to the Pi for dinner - my mom was very excited about their Gluten free crusts. We stopped by the Brown's new house on the way there, and realized that Irelynd is taller that me now.

Tuesday morning my dad drove my up to Snowbird to see Paul speak at the Evolution Meetings he was attending. He did a great job on his talk and I'll never stop loving these mountains as long as I live.

That night, I hadn't had enough mountain time so I made my dad and Paul go on a little hike up to Rocky Mount Falls. We were actually supposed to go rappeling there on Monday night but some thunderstorms decided that wasn't going to happen.

We almost stepped on a rattlesnake and I'm so glad we didn't. On the left is me taking a picture of him in it's hole (next to my shadow elbow) and to the right is my dad with the skin it shed. It was HUGE.

The view of the pretty valley. I was pleasantly surprised with how green everything looked.

Then it was time for the obligatory Cafe Rio trip. :)

Then to the Golf course! Chelsey had her call full of various hobby supplies - showing what a cool person she is. She's in a band (amp and keyboard), and also had a volleyball, golf clubs and other sporting goods stowed. I like her.

Ezra wasn't too sure about this whole "golfing" thing.

It was so fun to be on my dad's course, at sunset, with our family (minus Brandon & Kimberly).

This was the time where I was proving that my golf ball landed further on my first drive than my dads. This was a first (and probably last) time experience.

Afterwards we went to see my tree that i won in 4th grade, and then creeped out our old house and got mad that the new owners have a dumb flag, and that they don't know how to trim bushes.

Wednesday, my dad brought my Noodles and Company for lunch. Best news is that I just found out they finally built one in New Jersey!

That evenings plan was to go boating, but things didn't quite work out so we got to go to Seven Peaks (Raging Waters) instead. I had a lot of fun and was so proud I made it over the yellow roller coaster waterslide even if it meant me climbing up it with my hands and legs.

Thursday was my last day in Utah so I begged my dad for another trip up the canyon and we had a nice time hiking around Snowbird and looking at the peak that we climbed a few years ago.

I still got to see the greatest snow on Earth!

That afternoon Brandon and Celeste invited us to go rock climbing in Millcreek canyon. It was a happy surprise and relief to find these sticks telling us which fork in the road to take.

Climbing was really fun and I was so impressed with 1. Brandon's knowledge and care in setting it up. 2. Celeste! Who knew that girl would even love climbing and rappeling down cliffs and 3. How beautiful Millcreek was. It was the perfect way to end our Utah time.

I spy Brandon!

Paul and I took off for our drive to Idaho, but soon we found my days keys in our backseat. We hurried and called but they didn't have service (they were still climbing). Chelsey was the hero of the day who drove up to Bountiful to meet us and retrieve the keys. Thanks again Chelly! I hope that Orange Chicken was worth it.
