I love big bridges. They are just kind of magical, and huge. I always feel the need to take a picture, so here is a collection for you.
First up: the Verrazano, which connects Staten Island to Brooklyn (taken on our way to JFK, flying home for Eric's wedding. PS.. we almost missed our flight because of Brooklyn traffic.) It's a double decker dudes.
This was on our way to the Phillies game, a great view of Philly from this guy.

Day of the Fathers!
Happy Day of the Fathers!
Hey Dad,

Hey Dad,
Thanks for loving me, even when I'm a bit crazy. In fact, thanks for giving me that little bit of crazy and embracing it yourself. :)
Thank you for supporting me in my life's decisions. Great or small. You know me better than most people. You are one of my biggest fans. (And guess what - on my Survivor application, you were the one I listed as my hero).
Oh yes, and thanks for being generally awesome. I look up to you a lot. I want to live my life like you and mom, staying active, being fit and being able to enjoy life with your kids.
You are the best :)
And also, a tribute to Paul's dad. Mr. Greg Bryan Frandsen
Thanks for giving that middle name of yours to Paul. He loves it.
Thanks for your example to Paul, of being a man, traveling the world, and always looking suave.
And thanks for being an amazing dad.
You are missed!
Oh yeah!
And we also love those grandpa's of ours :)

reality-ish
I'm a reality TV show lover. Since forever. Since, in fact, reality shows were birthed!
I have never watched America's Got Talent, however. The other night I was channel surfing and was lucky enough to catch a bit of this: http://www.hulu.com/watch/248474/americas-got-talent-dani-shay
Miss Dani Shay, aka Bieber's look alike. She was awesome. (Pretend she says heck...haha).
In other reality show news, I am fulfilling a life goal, and applying to be on my very first reality show addiction, Survivor.
Seriously, I'm just gonna do it!
There are open casting calls a few hours from me on Thursday and I am going for it, baby!
Cross your fingers for me.. .mmmk?

Phillies!
When Paul was little, his dad got him a Phillies hat, because it had a P (for Paul!).
Since then, Paul has been a Phillies fan, and I jumped on the bandwagon the second I saw Chase Utley's face. We even named a fish Cliff Lee (and he died soon after Lee was traded, but now he is back, so I guess we need a new fish?)
Moving to New Jersey we were excited to be close enough to be able to go to a game, so guess what? We totally did.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks (and don't make fun of our singing below)...
The game was a bit of a last hurray for us. My sweetie Paul left the next morning (yesterday) for his five-week-long trip which includes lots of collecting, a conference in Oklahoma, and some research in Minnesota. Although it is longer than Mongolia, we have the luxury of technology this time, and hopefully that will ease some of my loneliness and worry. Also, I get to fly out to Minnesota for the 4th of July and spend a week with him then. Still hard, but I think I'll survive.
And speaking of Survive... stay tuned for some kind-of-cool news :)

Philly cheese steak of course!

Today is June all the sudden!
What the heck, summer just snuck right up on me just barely. How did it all the sudden become June today?
The great news is that I love summer, but now that it is June I'm afraid I'm going to blink and summer will be gone!
Luckily we've been taking advantage of the hot (and humid) weather we have been experiencing.
We got an early start to our Memorial day weekend and went to Belmar (yes it was that crowded).
We are both paranoid about sand + electronics, so no pictures, but let's just say it was as Jersey Shore as it gets. I took home a sunburn as a souvenir, which resulted in a painful weekend.
I swear Jersey sun is different than Utah sun, because I never get burned! How rude!
The rest of the weekend we went on a few bike rides, grocery shopping, doing massive amounts of reorganization and cleaning (thanks Paul!), and a bit of relaxing.
Oh yeah, and this...
Paul planned our movie night, and I had my first experience with Wayne's World.
Party time! Excellent!
Surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We even watched Wayne's World 2 the next night. hahaha
So, welcome Summer! I love you so much!
(Paul snapped this picture on a quicky bike ride over the Raritan).
