The day-to-day favorite moments in Utah and Idaho

While we were in Idaho and Utah in September we had so many great adventures
(Yellowstone, Marathon, and Lake Powell) but we also had some nice day-to-day things that happened - here is the first set of day-to-day, and now the set #2:

I loved Donna's lush garden and enjoy every thing we got to eat from it.

Jeff and Paul went mountain biking the second we got to Logan. And how lucky are Jeff and Demi living right next to those mountains and a field of horses?  I loved their apartment and kind of want to move in with them.

Post-marathon dinner at Gaucho Grill. Here is you-can't-tell-she's-pregnant-but-she-is Demi. I like this lady so much.

The brothers
(Minus Devn! Who we will see for Christmassss)
And all the Frandsens family that was there at the moment. Five out of eight is not too shabby! Missing Valerie, Devn and Camie

Saturday night was Kimberly's baby shower! Apparently I was socializing instead of photographing. It was fun to celebrate Eric and Kimberly's little baby girl and also get to see my grandmas and aunts!
Sunday we went to Grandpa Frandsen's birthday party in Alpine - and I got to drive these cute girls.

Our #1 Grandpa and little Owen got some bonding time.

So did Paul and wiggly Jane!

Being away from nieces and nephews is the worst, so we just eat it up when we get the chance.
Grandma and Grandpa's fantastic backyard and garden.
 My best Lukey friend!

The next Sunday (after Lake Powell), we went to my parents Stake Conference for the Brigham City Temple dedication and I took a picture to remember my favorite view of my favorite mountain.
That afternoon we did my favorite Sunday activities - visiting the tree I won in 4th grade for the Arbor Day contest, and visiting my dad's golf course.

Another Mt. Olympus pic. I can't get enough of that guy.

Then my dad took us on a secret mission to stalk out their new home. The old owners were still living there so it was a drive by tour of the new home. I'm excited to see inside when we come back to Utah!

And look how close they are to those pretty fall mountains!!

Monday my only request was mountain time. I waited for Paul to come back from Provo (bike riding and insect collecting). He decided to pick up the Brown kids on his way back to Murray and I waited for him on our porch, which is one of my favorite spots to sit.

Big Cottonwood Canyon did not disappoint. It was beautiful.

Paul let me take all the pictures I wanted this hike. He knew it was so important to me to be there in the mountains and was the kindest husband.

Crazy Zander/Sweet Zander who picked these leaves for his Mom and little sisters who couldn't come on the hike.

When people in the East need to understand why I miss mountains, these are the pictures I need to show them.

Back at my parents house we had tin-foil dinners in the backyard.

And I took a few swings on my favorite backyard friend.

And my parents burned old Tax documents, hahahaha.

Tuesday I packed, then had a nice lunch date with my parents at Noodles.
Then went to my dad's office for spur of the moment take-your-adult-daughter-to-work day.

Maybe I found my wedding dress?

Then it was time to say goodbye to the home that I lived in for all my whole life. I really do like this house and will really miss it's familiarity and the traditions we have there, but memories don't go away when a house is sold, so that's nice.

I'm so glad I hugged the boat goodbye. I didn't even know it would be sold. I really do love it.

I'll spare you all the other pictures, but I did take one in my favorite crawl space, which we called the "Spider Room" our whole lives. I think our parents just didn't want us to play in there (but we did).

Then time to go to the airport. It was a sad moment taking that last picture with my house.

Murray forever!

The best part of the flight home was the People Magazine someone had left at my seat. Oh, also that the plane was only 1/3 full so we had plenty of room and a quiet flight. This was especially good news because the first seats we were sitting in didn't recline (when am I going to learn to not sit in those seats!) but no problem because the row in front of us was empty, but when we moved there we found a little pink backpack. About five minutes later the backpack's 4 year-old owner and her dad came and I was like "oh, sorry - our seats didn't recline so we moved". He was pretty ticked his daughter didn't get her own row, but I think she survived.
Whoops, didn't mean to end on that note. But, we love Idaho and Utah, we love the moments we get to spend with our families and we can't wait to be back.

I bet it is so wonderful to come home for a visit! Murray will always feel like "home" to Jason and I, and your family was a big part of that! It's crazy to think that your parents aren't there anymore, but we hope they love whatever new adventures they are on! By the way, I love stalking your blog, and I hope that's creepy! ;)

i was just feeling so sad that i'm not going home for christmas and then i saw all these pictures of you saying goodbye to your home and boat and felt bad for being so sad. so if you can have a nice attitude then so can i dang it! except we never owned a boat, so maybe i should feel bad about that haha
