Australia!!!

In February 2015, we had the chance to go to Australia. Two-month-old Harvey was a dream baby on the super long flights, and we came to love Australian Airlines and their front row bassinets. We spent the first couple days in Sydney - we explored the harbor, the opera house, the gardens (SO GREEN to our used-to-winter eyes). The next morning we walked to a little restaurant up the hill in Sydney and had the most delicious breakfast I have ever had, then we rented a car (because the train wasn't running) and Paul bravely drove on the left hand side of the road while Harvey and I freaked out for different reasons.

Eventually we made it up to Koolewong (with detours to see the most beautiful rest stop, and a random walk-about where we met some kangaroo) to join Tonya, Rob, and their curly-blonde-headed boy, Farley. Also, Farley's best friend... a possum in a mammal field guide. We spent the first night at their amazing home - checking out beautiful birds and a possum on the porch. Brett and Emily arrived soon as well.

The next morning we drove to Pearl Beach where we would stay the rest of the week in a beautiful tree house a short walk from the ocean. A guardsman spider greeted us in the living room (the three year old was excited to see him, me... not so much). We spent the week relaxing, hanging out at the beach, surfing, doing a little hiking, and visiting the Reptile Park. Well, Paul mostly worked on PartitionFinder, but did get to join in a few of the activities. Harvey was an amazing travel baby. He woke up early every morning, but I didn't mind. I would walk down to the beach and watch the sunrise. Those were some of my favorite moments of the whole trip.
