Do You Tumblr?

Paul made a Tumblr account today and since we're married I made one too. Because what's his is mine and all that jazz so we have to be involved in the same social networks I guess?
Or maybe we're each other's only friends. So we try to make each other feel good by following one another and commenting on each other's blogs - except I'm the only one who does that - so Paul maybe you should start since you get offended when no one comments on posts with pictures of you. (ps i love you).

I'm still trying to figure Tumblr out but so far, I think it's Frandtastic!
muahaha. credit to Celeste for coming up with that word.

It's very mobile device friendly, and will be an easy place to put pictures. Also, Paul said it's the "next big thing" according to New York Times. And since we are practically New Yorkers we thought we'd better do it.

I posted my "board" on there. And I was going to make you click the link to look at it, but some of you might be morally opposed to Tumblr for reasons unknown. So I'll make it easy for you.

Te Gusta? It's not perfect but I think I like it that way.

I got the idea here.
DIY instructions:
Buy a piece of wood from hardwood store - I had mine cut down to 5' x 4', which doesn't fit in a Toyota  Camry in case you were wondering so make sure you have a way to transport - whoops!

Also buy spray paint - I did a matte/no gloss paint because I liked that look better. The $1 brand at Lowes.

Then I used vinyl stickers (6" height, purchased at Staples) - but since there weren't enough of some of the letters I needed in one package- and I didn't want to buy more packages - I used unused letters to make the letters I needed. I just put clear packing tape over the front then traced on the backside the letter I needed and cut it out - when I peeled off the backing it worked just great!

I drew horizontal lines every ten inches to space the lines, and then I put the stickers on - left aligned.

Spray paint and let dry, then peel those babies off and you got yourself something to cover up boring white wall and add a little happy reminder to your life. Any great lyric or short quote will do, but those with a personal meaning to you are best. Of course.
(No filter - so you can actually see what it will look like)

(And another cool filter to be trendy.)

PS. Do you Tumblr? Let's be tumblr friends!
